On Thursday we traveled back to Wake Forest for another (number 4) bone marrow biopsy. This painful procedure is sadly the only way to retrieve the true results of what is actually occurring in my bone marrow. The PA that administered my procedure reassured me that my hipbones do not look like Swiss cheese. She said that until you are 30, your bones would heal themselves from the biopsies. I’m not overly concerned with the appearance of my hips, but it is good to know.
I am elated, excited, and eager to tell you all: I am in REMISSION!
