Three Bean Beer Turkey Chili

The first entry: Three-Bean Beer Turkey Chili!
It is extremely easy to make, mainly because pouring things in a crock pot isn’t too tough.

chiliP.S.  Adding a lager really does the trick.  If you don’t drink, that’s alright because the alcohol cooks out.  Give it a shot!  Wait, not a shot shot.  Give it a try!

3-Bean Beer Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

1 can of kidney beans, rinsed
1 can of black beans, rinsed
1 can of chili beans, not rinsed
12 oz. beer (lager)
1 yellow onion, chopped
¾-1 lb of ground turkey
1 can of diced tomatoes (keep juices)
3 cloves of garlic, minced or chipped finely
2 T. of tomato paste
2 T. of flour
2 T. of chili powder
1 T. of cumin
Salt to taste

Directions:

Place chopped onions and minced garlic in pan to sweat.  Once softened, place them in crock pot.  Rinse pan and cook turkey.  Once cooked, place in crock pot.  Pour in all other ingredients in crock pot.  Sit and let it get awesome.  High for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours.  Serve with cornbread or other toppings (i.e. cheese, sour cream, crackers).
